 ABOUT THE TITOVETS

In the storied halls of St. Petersburg, Russia, Aleksander and Lyuba Titovets began their artistic journey, united by a shared passion for fine art. Their education was a rare gem, a bridge connecting the rich artistic fundamentals of the 19th-century European and Russian masters with the innovative visions of the 20th century. This unique blend of classical skill in drawing, composition, and painting, coupled with a deep knowledge of art history, set the foundation for their exceptional artistic expression.
In 1992, the vibrant landscapes of the Southwest United States beckoned, and the Titovets brought their distinct artistry to a new audience. They quickly captivated the art community, achieving acclaim at the El Paso International Competition and elevating the event to unprecedented heights. Their teaching roles at the Museum of Art and Community College allowed them to pass on their rich legacy of art education to the next generation.

Their artistic influence extended well beyond the Southwest, resonating through national exhibitions like “Oil Painters of America” and the global "Art in U.S Embassies" program. Aleksander's notable achievements include his portrait of First Lady Laura Bush for the Smithsonian Museum's "First Ladies Gallery" in Washington D.C, and the Crystal Eagle award at the "Artists of America" National Invitational Exhibition in Denver. Lyuba's artistic journey is equally distinguished, with accolades such as Best of Show at the International Miniature Competition in Clearwater, FL, and her work displayed in venues like Westminster Abbey, London.

Aleksander’s portrait of the First Lady Laura Bush opened the "First Ladies Gallery" in the Smithsonian Museum, Washington D.C in 2011. He also had the honor of receiving the Crystal Eagle, a recognition from fellow artists in the  "Artists of America" National invitational exhibition in Denver, CO.

Their artworks, rich in imagination and nuanced understanding, grace both public and private collections worldwide, appreciated by dignitaries, celebrities, and art lovers alike. The Titovets' influence extends beyond their canvases into the realms of community and education through the Titovets School of Art, established in 1999. Here, they continue to cultivate a new generation of artists, infusing their spaces with the same passion and depth that characterizes their life's work.

Aleksander and Lyuba's artistic narrative is more than a story of individual achievement; it is a testament to the enduring power of classical art training, reimagined for the contemporary world. Their legacy is a vibrant tapestry of creativity, tradition, and innovation — a legacy that continues to inspire and captivate.
